Evil wins by killing all non-evil characters. Good wins when the Shadow Walker and the Secret Elemental Secret Serial Killer (SSK) are dead. The Serial Killer (SK) team wins when the Shadow Walker and Guardian are dead. In the event that the SSK, Guardian, and SW are all dead, the team which lands the killing blow on the Shadow Walker wins unless evil's win condition is met first.
The Elementals win by killing the Shadow Walker and the Guardian.
Each night, you may attack (not just others, but yourself as well) unless your role does not allow you to. INSTEAD of attacking, you may choose to activate your special ability if you have one.
If a Guardian or Shadow Walker has died and the game is not over, there will be an announcement of his death.
IMPORTANT: Read the Characters section to know the appropriate order of the actions.
The evil team knows all starting information received by good characters as well, even if the information was falsified. They also start with information on one or two characters not in play.
General playing info:
- Three starting teams (good, evil, and [SK OR elementals])
- All characters can attack unless otherwise stated
- Attacks stay during the course of the game
- Two attacks against the same player kills that player (there are some ways to dodge)
- No sharing of screenshot conversations with the moderator
- Each night, players can do one of the following: 1) No Action, 2) Attack, 3) Special.
- Characters with no listed special can only do no action or attack
Starting Characters:
- **Shadow Walker (evil) - You must attack each night. You can attack yourself. If you are attacked twice in one night, you will dodge one attack. SPECIAL: Transfer your role to another member on your team. The new SW must attack tonight but cannot transfer until the next night. When you transfer, you will be exposed publicly during the day. (ex. "Ajay has transferred his role as Shadow Walker.") The new SW loses their old abilities.
-
Guardian (updated) - You start the game knowing one player who is on your team. That player does not know you. You also start the game with two roles that are not in play to use as a potential bluff. When you die, all wounded players (at the moment you die) on the good team also die. If no players (good or evil) are wounded when you die, two random alive players on the good team lose their abilities. If two attacks occur to you in a single night, you will dodge one.
SPECIAL: One per game, cause ALL attacks during the night to miss (whether good, evil, or elementals). Specials will still trigger, but the corresponding attacks (like Qyburn's) will not.
Predetermined events that will likely occur (based on balance)
NOTE: Fake News does not affect the predetermined events.
On day #1 - Publicly, a police report reveals one evil character – xx – that is locked up (not in play) and the judge reveals that two good characters – xx – that are acquitted (not in play). A potentially drunk police officer tells you which row seems most suspicious (has the greatest number of non-good players). There is a 50% chance he is drunk, and his information is incorrect.
On day #2 - You may give up your ability to attack for the rest of the game in order to be put into a group chat with a random member of your team. Their role is revealed to you.
On day #3 - A public poll will determine one player among 4 randomly selected ones to reveal their role publicly. If a Shadow Walker, Guardian, or Secret SK is selected, a GOOD random role that is currently not in play will be announced.
On day #4 - You may give up your ability to attack in order to be put into a group chat with a random member of your team. Their role is revealed to you. If 40% (rounded down) or more players have given up their ability to attack by the end of this day, you learn if the police officer from day #1 was drunk or not AND if he was drunk, which row actually is the most suspicious.
(May not occur) On day #5 - There's a break in the case. All attacks by the Serial Killer will be made public. Additionally, if another similar event has not already happened, 40% of the remaining alive players (rounded down) will be listed as not the Serial Killer.
